Guilty Pleasures

I found myself enjoying some guilty pleasures this week. I think it is funny how people will enjoy things, and be so embarrassed about them. If I know you in real life and you bring this up I WILL deny it ;-).

Tuesday night they played the three twilight movies back to back. I watched the first one and recorded the others. I am completely embarrassed by the fact that I have totally gotten into the movies and am now thinking about reading the books. I have a younger sister who absolutely loves the books and movies. She has been trying to convince me to read them for years. I am more of a Harry Potter kind of gal. Not so much into the vampires. I refuse to buy them! I generally use the library to get all my books. I am a little bit embarrassed to check this one out though. Thank goodness they have an automated check out counter at my local branch!

To my great displeasure last week, my exercise on demand station has been eliminated. I had started out a work out program that I was enjoying. So, to fill the void I dusted off my DDR pad and played twice. For those of you non-geeky people out there who are scratching their heads. DDR is Dance Dance Revolution. The game with four arrows on a pad that you step on to music. It was a big hit from Japan that started coming to the US maybe 15 years ago? I don’t remember exactly when, I just know that I have a PlayStation 2 still and the stuff to play it with. Its fun, it gets your heart rate up, and best of all I don’ t have to be in an arcade with people staring at me doing it. I even pulled out the extra pad, oh yes I have two, so my son could play on it while I did my thing.

I have other guilty pleasures, for now that is all you get ;-). Happy Sunday!

What is your favorite guilty pleasure?

I have read all four Twilight books which of course are so much better than the movies. I do think that Harry Potter is much better. You should read the Hunger Games trilogy- no vampires. I am over half way through the second book and I can’t stop reading it. Very, very good books!

Utoh, I don’t know if I want to list any of my guilty pleasures publicly! Eh, what the hell, here goes: Watching reruns of my old favorites shows when I was younger, like The OC, Sex & the City, My So-Called Life, I could go on… Eating candy while soaking in a hot bubble bath–with a glass of wine & a girly magazine, too (and by girly I should clarify I mean Self or Redbook, not porn, lol). Eating the whole pint of ice cream in one sitting.

Alright, I’m done for now. 🙂
